By virtue of our position as professional highly qualified insurance brokers with a wealth of experience in handling marine insurance business locally and internationally on the terms and conditions required by the Shipowners, we currently provide insurance for a sizeable proportion of the Norwegian ocean-going merchant fleet and hold direct orders from a number of non-Norwegian Shipowners. In addition, we are one of the leading producers of non-Norwegian business into the Scandinavian insurance market.

Being as we are, in direct contact with the Shipowners themselves, our guiding principle is to function as an extension of their spheres of interest within the marine insurance field and related activities. This means that we:

• act as consultant and "tailor" to Shipowners in respect of their insurance requirements (i.e. what kind of insurances they ought to take out and on what conditions and terms);
  
• buy for our Shipowner clients the best possible insurance on the most competitive and economical terms from first class security in Norway and in the international markets;
  
• obtain indications or quotations from different underwriters within the various markets;
  
• collect premium from Shipowners and attend to distribution and closing of premiums to all underwriters with whom insurances are placed;
  
• collect return premiums and claims from all underwriters for payment to the Shipowners concerned;
  
• Provide highly experienced claims service and act as the Shipowners consultant and adviser when an accident has occurred.
