    Willis Executive Recognized As Industry Leader

    Janet Pane Named to Business Insurance’s 2012 “Women to Watch” List

    NEW YORK, December 3, 2012 – Willis Group Holdings (NYSE:WSH), the global insurance broker, today announced Janet Pane, Managing Director of Placement Operations, Willis North America has been named to Business Insurance magazine’s 2012 “Women to Watch” list.

    The seventh annual “Women to Watch” report recognizes a group of 25 high-profile executives who are leading the way in insurance, reinsurance, risk management and employee benefits. Candidates were selected based on leadership, professional achievements and market influence.

    Based in New York, Ms. Pane manages Willis North America’s placement activities including its significant contribution of premium into the insurance marketplace, while managing a network of 450 placement professionals across Willis’ North American retail business. Ms. Pane has also played an integral role in the development of WillPLACE, Willis’ new online data-driven placement tool and is responsible for implementation of the system in North America.

    Ms. Pane joined Willis in 1999 and has served in a variety of leadership roles including Director of Global Placement Operations in North America, Chief Operations Officer, North America Client Service Director, and North America Compliance Director. In 2011, she was honored with the Helen M. Garvin Outstanding Achiever Award by the National Association of Insurance Women (NAIW), New York City Chapter.

    Ms. Pane is profiled in the December 3 issue of Business Insurance’s Women to Watch 2012. An awards luncheon will be held December 4 at the New York Hilton Hotel in New York City.
