Willis Leads Insurance Industry Modernisation Drive
London, UK, November 06, 2012 – Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, is leading
the way in e-Accounting and London Market modernisation, scooping up four awards at the recent 19th
annual ACORD Awards ceremony, held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is the second consecutive year that
Willis has picked up multiple awards at the event.
The awards recognise achievements in ACORD data standard implementations. Willis was singled out for the:
- Global Reinsurance and Large Commercial Pioneer Award - for driving and being the first organisation to implement
the new 2010.2 ACORD standard.
- Most Compelling Case Study Award – recognising Willis’ replacement of legacy
accounting processes and proprietary messaging with e-Accounting process using ACORD Standard messages
- Global Reinsurance and Large
Commercial Volume Implementer Award - for demonstrating a high proportion of growth in electronic transactions (messages
sent and received).
- Global Reinsurance and Large Commercial Outstanding Contribution Award – recognising Willis’ broad engagement
with ACORD to improve e-Accounting standards.
