Willis Preparing Clients for Hurricane Sandy’s Impact
Launches Hurricane Tracking Hub on willis.com
Willis Catastrophe Response Claim Team on Alert
NEW YORK, October 26, 2012 - Willis is closely following Hurricane Sandy and has launched its
Hurricane Response Center Portal, a one-stop hub for clients and Associates on willis.com. The portal features frequent
storm tracking updates from Willis Re’s Hurricane Tracking Advisory system, Willis Research Network, NOAA and the
National Hurricane Center.
To help clients prepare for the potential impact of Hurricane Sandy, Willis has deployed a dedicated Property
team, more than 100 claim consultants and a critical incident team. The Willis Catastrophe Response
Claim team is on alert and has reached out to clients with assets in the expected
path of the storm. Willis is also coordinating with insurance carriers and major property restoration firms
to assess available resources.
“We are prepared to meet our clients’ needs that may stem from Hurricane Sandy,” said Dave Passman,
National Director of National Property Claims, Willis Strategic Outcomes Practice.
“While the precise path of Sandy is unclear, current forecast models indicate Sandy will turn back towards
the U.S. and target the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast coasts. Although there is uncertainty with timing, clients
along the East Coast should brace for a storm that has the potential to produce significant
wind and rain damage. As always, preparation is critical,” he said.
You can reach the Willis hurricane claims hotline 24-hours a day at 1-877-725-9679, or email@example.com.
