Willis Appoints Otávio Sampaio CEO for Brazil
São Paulo, Brazil, December 10, 2008 - Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH) today
announced the appointment of José Otávio Sampaio as Chief Executive Officer for
Willis Brazil, one of the biggest growth areas for the global insurance broker. He will
report to Eugenio Paschoal, CEO, Willis Latin America and former CEO of Willis
Brazil.
Otávio Sampaio joined Willis in 1989 as a risk surveyor, and in 1995 took over as
General Manager for Willis Rio de Janeiro branch. In 1997, he was nominated
Statutory Director for Willis Brazil, and then served as Vice President for Willis Brazil.
Otávio Sampaio has been acting as interim CEO of Willis Brazil since Paschoal
became regional CEO in November 2007.
