Willis Executive Named to Business Insurance's Prestigious 2008
"Women to Watch" List
New York, December 3, 2008 - Willis Group Holdings (NYSE:WSH), the global insurance broker, announced today that
Ann Longmore, Executive Vice President, Product Leader, Willis HRH Executive Risks Practice, has been named a
2008 "Women to Watch" by Business Insurance magazine.
This is the third year that Business Insurance has published its "Women to Watch" list. Longmore was
among 25 outstanding women executives in risk management, benefits, brokerage, insurance and allied fields who were
honored by the magazine this year. The "Women to Watch" list is compiled from hundreds of
reader nominations as well as information supplied by the publication's senior staff.
Longmore, based in New York, has been with Willis for 16 years and is a noted expert
within the fields of Directors & Officers Liability, Fiduciary Liability and Employment Practices. Her most notable
achievements during her time at Willis include spearheading the proprietary A-Side D&O Purchasing Study of the
Fortune 500, pioneering global insurance solutions for D&O with the major carriers, and being a part
of the design team for WISDOMTM, a proprietary software product from Willis that analyzes the Comprehensive
Cost of Risk for D&O. She is also a member of the WoW (Women of Willis)
program which supports, encourages and recognizes the achievements of women at Willis. Longmore's fellow Associates and
clients hold her in the highest esteem and commend her knowledge and technical acumen, in addition
to her integrity and thoughtfulness.
Prior to joining Willis, Longmore spent 10 years at AIG. She also boasts a wealth of legal
experience and has earned a JD from Brooklyn Law School.
Longmore's name is added to a list of previous Willis honorees. Longmore is profiled in the December
1 edition of Business Insurance, as well as at http://www.BusinessInsurance.com/Women2008.
Longmore commented on her achievement, "I am truly delighted to join the outstanding group of executives who
have been named Women to Watch by Business Insurance. I feel proud to be able to
represent women within what was a historically male-dominated industry. As a person who never says 'It
can't be done', I love to tackle a challenge be it big or small. My current
role at Willis has allowed me to undertake some fantastic projects and it's an honor to
be recognized for this."
"As a colleague of Ann's for many years now, I can comfortably state that very few professionals
in this industry have delivered as much value to their employer and its clients as Ann
Longmore," said Don Bailey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Willis HRH. "She possesses a combination
of intellect and passion that is truly unique in this industry and represents one of the
great assets of Willis HRH and this industry as a whole."
