Willis China Retains Five-Star Quality Rating
China Insurance Regulatory Commission, Shanghai Assigns Willis Top Rating in Quality Review for the Second Year Running

London, UK, November 24, 2008 – Willis Group Holdings (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, announced today that it has once again received a five-star rating in the China Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC), Shanghai’s review of the quality of licensed insurance brokers operating in the city.

Of the 90 brokers and agents assessed by the CIRC in Shanghai, only 20 companies were awarded five stars, with Willis achieving second place in this top category ahead of the other global brokers. This is the second year in a row that Willis China has been awarded the five-star rating.

The CIRC evaluated intermediaries in a 360º process that included peer review by insurance companies, clients and other brokers, in addition to the CIRC's own assessment. Companies were rated in terms of their management, integrity, service delivery, quality of work, premium processing and value-added services, including claims.

“In a competitive market, we believe that clients increasingly value the quality of service that they receive from their insurance brokers, so we’re understandably proud to be recognised as the leading global broker in terms of quality,” said Mitchell Ma, CEO, Willis China. “Willis expects to further enhance the quality of its service offering with the continued implementation of the Shaping our Future Retail project, part of the Group’s global strategy for delivering profitable growth.”

In line with the Shaping our Future Retail initiative, Willis’ 20 offices in China went live in September with the eGlobal broking system – a single broking technology platform that interfaces with Willis’ accounting system, ensuring a uniform approach to process and data handling. An operations centre in Shanghai has also been established that will provide a growing range of centralised processing services, allowing Associates in the branches and Specialty divisions to focus on business development and client service.

Willis Group Holdings Limited is a leading global insurance broker, developing and delivering professional insurance, reinsurance, risk management, financial and human resource consulting and actuarial services to corporations, public entities and institutions around the world. Willis has more than 400 offices in nearly 120 countries, with a global team of approximately 20,000 Associates serving clients in some 190 countries.
