    Willis Appoints Thoretz VP, Group Communications

    New York, NY, June 23, 2008 – Willis Group Holdings Limited (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, today announced the appointment of Will Thoretz as Vice President, Group Communications, effective immediately. Based in New York, Thoretz will be responsible for developing and executing the company’s external and internal communications strategies worldwide and leading the global communications team in London and New York. He will report to Valerie Di Maria, Senior Vice President and Group Marketing and Communications Director.

    Thoretz brings 25 years of communications experience to Willis, and was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Communications Officer at VNU N.V. (now The Nielsen Company), a global information and media company that includes ACNielsen and Nielsen Media Research. Prior to that, he was responsible for financial communications at Philip Morris Companies Inc., the former consumer products giant that included Philip Morris, Kraft Foods and Miller Brewing Company. Earlier, Thoretz was with the public relations firm, Manning, Selvage & Lee, and before that was chief spokesperson for Long Island Lighting Company, an electric and gas utility.
