    Willis Appoints James Wylie to Lead Central Region

    New York, NY, April 22, 2008 – Willis Group Holdings, Ltd. (NYSE: WSH), the global insurance broker, today announced the appointment of James Wylie as Executive Vice President, Willis Americas, Regional Executive Officer and National Partner for the Central Region, a major component of Willis North America’s business. In this capacity, Wylie is charged with leading the Central Region and helping to build the industry’s first sustainable organic growth engine. This role was formerly held by Vic Krauze, who was recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Willis North America, Inc.

    Wylie brings over 20 years of insurance experience in both the brokerage and carrier fields, with a focus on Chicago and the entire Midwest. In previous roles, he built high performance teams through an intense focus on client service and a commitment to differentiated client value propositions. Prior to joining Willis, Wylie was Senior Managing Director for the Midwest Region of Wachovia Insurance Services. He began his career at The Home Insurance Company, and has also led practices at Marsh, Inc. and Johnson & Higgins, Inc.

    Wylie graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA degree, and earned his MBA with a concentration in Consulting and Risk Management from the University of North Carolina.
