Association for Consultancy & Engineering

Willis has been selected as a "preferred provider" for Professional Indemnity Insurance by the Association for Consultancy & Engineering (ACE) in the UK. ACE has launched the New ACE PI Insurance Scheme, which provides ACE members with more choice and better value for money.

The most significant change to the previous arrangements is the formation of a panel consisting of three brokers. The selection of the panel has been carefully considered by ACE, and Willis is very pleased and excited about this new opportunity for members. The new facilities will be able to offer cost effective insurance solutions, either from existing insurers or from other underwriting sources. Willis' presence and the increased choice within a more competitive marketplace will, we believe, ultimately provide better value for money. ACE members will benefit from the security offered by the "ACE Charter of PI Insurance Standards", which details the recommended minimum terms and conditions, and the panel brokers' minimum service standards. This will give unprecedented comfort and flexibility to ACE members when selecting their Broker.

Your Coverage & Protection

As one of the approved panel brokers, Willis is able to offer ACE members significantly wider cover than the recommended minimum terms and conditions and, if required, include different aspects of ACE members' services. Some typical additions can include the following:

  • Cover for cost of mitigation of loss if work is undertaken on a Design and Build basis
  • Joint Ventures
  • Cover for own in-house costs such as court attendance
  • Innocent non-disclosure provisions
  • Cover in the event that the ACE member's contracts are novated
  • The Limit of Indemnity to apply to each claim separately
  • Defence Costs and Expenses payable in addition to the Limit of Indemnity

Willis is also able to offer additional services depending on your individual needs. Below are examples of the scope of advice and assistance available:

  • Insurance and Liability Clauses of contractual agreements
  • Risk Assessment/Management procedures and communications
  • Electronic communication and management of risk and claims data
  • International insurance requirements
