Willis UK Benefits - Planning For Your Future

Stakeholder Pension Scheme - Willis operates a generous Stakeholder Pension Scheme to enable you to save for you retirement in a tax efficient manner. You can join the scheme as soon as you become an Associate. Willis will automatically contribute on your behalf, paying at 6% of your pensionable salary into Scheme. You don't have to contribute yourself at all if you don't want to, but you are encouraged to do so and for each 1% of your pensionable salary that you contribute, Willis will pay another 1% into the Scheme, up to a maximum of an additional 4%, making a 10% Willis contribution in total.

The Scheme is operated by Friends Provident and you will be able choose the funds that you wish to invest in from a range of over 50 different styles and managers. This includes funds managed by Friends Provident themselves, but also includes other managers such as Baillie Gifford and Black Rock

Pensionable salary is based on basic salary less a deduction equal to the basic state pension of £4,539. Pensionable salary is capped at £112,800.

Save As You Earn Scheme - Each year, you will have the opportunity to join the Save As You Earn Scheme. By making regular contributions deducted conveniently from payroll, you can purchase Willis shares in a tax efficient manner.

Protecting Yourself And Your Family

Life Assurance - Associates who join the Stakeholder Pension Scheme are automatically covered for life assurance at the rate of four times pensionable salary.

Private Medical Insurance - All Associates are entitled to "Silver" level membership of the Willis Medical Plan immediately on joining and at no cost to themselves. The Plan reimburses costs of private medical coverage for a wide variety of treatments.

You can further improve on the level of coverage by making additional contributions yourself, to purchase either Gold coverage, under which your family will also be eligible for cover, or by electing the "plus option" under which some of the annual limits on reimbursement are removed.
Sick Leave Benefits. - Payment of sick leave benefits is discretionary during the first year of service. After that, if you are absent due to sickness you are entitled to 3 months pay at full salary followed by 9 months at 2/3 salary. This increases to 6 months pay at full salary followed by 6 months at 2/3 salary.
Long-Term Disability Scheme - All Associates are covered by the Long Term Disability Scheme after one years service provided they are actively at work on their first anniversary of employment. There is no cost to Associates for Scheme membership. The Scheme will provide an income for you and your family in case you are prevented from working for long periods due to illness. The Scheme provides two thirds of salary as a replacement income after the first year of sickness.
